When and where will the pageant be held?

The pageant will be held in the heart of the Bay Area at the Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium At Marin Center 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael, CA, 94903 in February 2009 (location and date subject to change).

Will the pageants be held in a different place each year?

The inaugural and future Miss Legs Pageant will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area

What are the requirements?

The only requirement is that the Participants must be at least 18 years of age or older by the date of the actual pageant. Category one 18-35, category two 36-45, category three 46-55, category four 56-65 and beyond.

Can Participants be married?

Yes, any woman is eligible to enter as long as they meet the minimum age requirement.

How do Participants get to the Miss Legs Pageant finals?

Winners of Regional pageants from across the country will be chosen by a panel of seven judges. There will be six Regional pageants held in centrally located U.S. cities gathering Participants from surrounding States. Internationally, Miss Legs Regional Pageants will be held in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America. From each Regional pageant the top three Participants will continue on to the Miss legs Pageant finals.

How are the pageant finalists chosen?

All scores are entered into a computer and are then tallied in each category. The Participants with the highest aggregate scores are named the semi-finalists and will continue on to the Miss Legs Pageant finals. There will be a dual-panel judging system; One panel of judges will conduct the Regional, while another will judge the live Miss Legs Pageant finals.

How many women will participate in the Miss Legs Pageant finals?

We are planning for not less than 50 participants representing the U.S. and other countries.

How are the finalists chosen?

All Participants will be screened by a panel of expert judges. Judges are planned to include international and domestic celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, fashion, photography, television and film. While of varying backgrounds, the judges have a familiarity with both the rewards as well as the responsibilities of being a public persona representing Miss Legs.

May a Participant compete in a pageant more than once?

Each Participant may compete only once in any of the preliminary Miss Legs Pageants, and if eliminated in a preliminary, cannot continue to the next stage. However, all Participants may compete year after year if they do not reach the Miss Legs Pageant finals.

How are the titleholders and runners-up chosen?

Since the judges' task is a difficult one, the judging system has been designed to fairly provide each Participant with maximum opportunity to present herself, and her legs, under optimum circumstances.
